SPORTS INJURY
A sports injury can be any pain you've experienced during your performance or sporting activity and is usually related to a muscle, ligament or tendon, also falling into 'acute' or 'chronic' categories.

Examples of acute injury's are strained muscles or rolled ankles, with chronic injury's being persistent pain for weeks or months, including repetitive strain injury's such as tennis elbow and achilles tendonitis.

No matter which category your injury falls into, if it's effecting your sporting performance it's best to get an assessment early so you can find out what's causing your pain and get the best personalised rehab plan to go with it.

All of my injury assessment sessions are an hour and include:
-
A thorough diagnosis
-
Specific joint ranges of movement tests
-
Isolated muscle strength tests
-
Special tests for specific structures (ligaments, cartilage, nerves).
-
A personalised rehab plan with clear progressions

It is very common for clients to start the session feeling very worried and overwhelmed about their unknown injury, and leave with a full understanding of what's causing their pain, and the confidence to carry on doing the agreed activity and the rehab plan without making things worse.

Sports injury rehab can be a long road depending on your injury but whether it's a couple of weeks or over a year, I'll be there every step of the way offering professional advice and guidance to make sure you have the best plan and support possible. I understand the frustration of not being able to play the sport or activity you love so my aim is always to get you back to the level of performance you want to be as soon as possible.

One of the most common things I hear clients say is 'I wish I saw you sooner'. So don't hesitate to book in if you have any concern about a niggling pain that is stopping you perform at your optimum.
